Through My Mother's Eyes by Michael McCoy
Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
Michael McCoy tells his mother Jean-Marie Faggiano's story of surviving the Santo Tomas Internment Camp, where she was interned as a six-year-old with her parents and older brother for 37 months after the family surrendered to the Japanese in January 1942. A photograph of her receiving a doll from a liberating soldier appeared in Stars and Stripes in February 1945, making her something of a poster child for the camp's liberation, and McCoy began writing her story after she finally shared it with her sons nearly twenty years after the war. Strategic Book Publishing released the book in 2008.
