The Philippine Islands by W. Cameron Forbes
Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
W. Cameron Forbes, who governed the Philippines as Governor-General from 1909 to 1913, draws on the clippings, documents, and correspondence he preserved during nearly a decade of service to write this two-volume history of the American colonial administration. Volume one covers early history through American occupation, civil government, public works, and the tribal peoples of the Cordillera, while volume two turns to the Moro provinces, Philippine political parties, the independence movement, and the transition to government by Filipinos, closing with 37 official documents in its appendices. Houghton Mifflin published the set in Boston and New York in 1928.
