Terror in Manila February 1945 by Antonio Perez de Olaguer
Out of stock
Spanish writer Antonio Pérez de Olaguer, whose family had deep business ties to Manila and whose own brother was killed in the battle, traveled to the Philippines in 1946-47 to interview survivors and gathered their testimony into this account of the February 1945 destruction of the city. His original Spanish book, El Terror Amarillo en Filipinas, appeared in Spain in 1947 while memories were still raw, making it one of the earliest book-length accounts of the battle. The Memorare Manila 1945 Foundation published this abridged English translation, edited by Bernardita Reyes Churchill and translated by Trinidad Ongtangco, in 2005.
