Tell MacArthur to Wait by Ralph Emerson Hibbs, M.D.
Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
Dr. Ralph Emerson Hibbs served with a medical unit attached to the Army's 31st Infantry Regiment near Manila and treated the wounded through the fighting on Bataan, slipping off the Death March into the jungle before rejoining the medical staff, and later working through captivity at Bilibid and Cabanatuan until his liberation in the January 1945 Ranger raid. His memoir pays particular tribute to Pilar Campos, a Filipina who smuggled aid to POWs and was killed by the Japanese for it. Carlton Press published the book in 1988.
