This album documents the experiences of American soldiers in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War and particularly the Moro Rebellion, as well as other events in the Philippines in the early 1900s. Among these are a number of rather gruesome images of hangings, executions, corpses on the battlefield, dismemberments, native nudity, Igarrote head-hunters, and the effects of the eruptioin of Taal Volcano in 1911. Also several images of Hawaiian interest, and Japan.
