Ang proyektong Sa Kanto ng Makabud at Mangga, May Eskuwela, ay nagtatampok ng mga istoryang nag-uumpisa sa seksuwalidad, mas madalas ay sa pagproseso sa mga pananaw kaugnay ng homoseksuwalidad, na nagsasala-salabat at bumabangga sa mga pagmumuni-muni tungkol sa kaunlaran, pag-iisa, pagpapakatao at pagpapakahalimaw, paglilingkod at pagbabalik-loob sa isang mapanupil na lungsod. Nakikipaglaro sa liit at lawak ng karanasan itong mga piyesang nasa koleksiyon, mga salaysay ng nostalgia na minsan ay nagiging mga multo o halimaw na inakalang napalayas na pero bigla-biglang nagbabalik. Sa aking hiraya, nagbabalik itong mga halimaw na ito upang ibalik sa ayos ang mundong nalihis. O siguro, makumbinsi man lamang nitong mga piyesa ang babasa pati ang sarili na hindi naman ganoon kasama itong mga halimaw at kimerang buhat-buhat nila/namin.
Totoo, maraming lumilingkis sa atin sa ginagalawang mundo, lalo sa ngayon (halos lagi namang mas masalimuot ang “ngayon” sa nakararami). Nawa’y makapagdulot ang koleksiyong ito ng pakiramdam ng paghinga nang maluwag, sa gitna ng mga pagsakal at pagsasala-salabat.
