These are urgent signs of the time that serve as privileged loci theologici. With the analytical mediation of the social and ecological sciences, this book investigates the oppressive ideologies that produce poverty and the ecological crisis. It draws from the wellspring of Christian faith to affirm that these negative realities are counter-signs of the coming of God’s Kingdom. It maps out existing advocacies that may awaken a sense of solidarity and serve as embers of hope for a sustainable world.
