About the Authors
Reynaldo Gamboa Alejandro, Filipino by birth, New Yorker by choice, is still fascinated by the many wonders of The Big Apple in spite of his more than 20-year residence in New York. The city he loves challenged him to become a dancer, choreographer, director, dance and culinary historian, librarian, chef, party planner, tablescaper, dance and cookbook author, columnist, cooking teacher and above all, to discover himself in the wonderful and crazy world of New York. He lives in Greenwich Village where he plays the piano in his spare time.
Dr. Gloria G. T. Syquia is a practicing anesthesiologist by day and a bon vivant by night. Her insatiable quest for the various delights that the city can offer has made her one of the few Filipina-New Yorkers who knows The Big Apple sensually, emotionally and intellectually. A native New Yorker since 1973, she has lived in practically all the different boroughs of the city (with the exception of the borough of Staten Island) where she explored the gustatory and visual offerings of The Big Apple.
