The Philippine Craftsman, published monthly by the Manila Bureau of Education starting in July 1912, documented Filipino craft traditions and industrial education policy during the American colonial period. This set binds the magazine's first three volumes (1912 to 1915), including the August 1914 report on Bilibid Prison's rattan and bamboo furniture division that first put into print the chair now known worldwide as the peacock chair.
