Dahil ang pangontra at ang pagkukuwento ay parehong umiiral sa antas ng pagkatha, o ng paggamit ng salitang may bisa, kung kaya ang dalawang ito’y mga anyo rin ng kapangyarihang kapwa nagpapataw at nagpapalaya, ng gahum at kontragahum. Sa ganitong paggana, ang aklat na ito na aklat ng mga kuwento ay masasabi ring aklat ng mga pangontra.
