Even before Jose Rizal started to organize the Association Internationale des Philippinistes (International Association of Philippinists), a group of Filipino and foreign scholars with an interest in various aspects of the Philippines, there was a man who was already studying and sharing his expertise about our country. He was Jose Felipe Del-Pan. Del-Pan can be considered one of the first Filipinologists at that time.
Our knowledge of Del-Pan may be limited. But through this book, which was first published in 2009, we will be introduced to the life and contribution of Del-Pan and the expanding knowledge about the Philippines.
