Nasa kaibuturan ng antolohiyang ito ang pagkilala at pagpupugay sa “walang humpay na pagtatanong” at sa “laylayang” sinasabi ni Dr. Teresita Gimenez Maceda. Tet ang tawag sa kaniya ng malalapit na estudyante, palayaw niyang marubdob na ipinagdiriinan sa kaniyang lektura ng pagreretiro sa pagsapit ng edad na animnapu’t lima. Pagbaklas ng herarkiya ang pagtawag sa kaniya ng Tet o Inday Tet, at ang paglaglag ng “ma’am” at “sir” sa loob ng akademya.
Namayapa si Tet noong Disyembre 10, 2019, kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Karapatang Pantao, upang marahil ay ipaalala sa atin ang kaniyang mga panulat, lalo na sa pagpapahalaga sa marhinalisado sa lipunan. Isa siyang guro, nobelista, tagasalin, mang-aawit, at mananaliksik.
Bilang parangal sa buhay at legado ni Tet, kinikilala ng mga akdang narito ang talinghaga ng liwanag at itim na dinaranas ng ating bayan, na hanggang sa kasalukuyan ay bumabaka ng natural at dulot-ng-tao-at-institusyong kalamidad. Sa kaniyang panulat, tinuturol ni Tet ang laylayan upang tumukoy sa mga taong naisasagilid dahil sa walang kapangyarihan bunga ng uri, lahi, identidad, etnisidad, at seksuwalidad.
