Contemporary short stories selected and edited by Rolando B. Tolentino, Romulo P. Baquiran Jr., and Alwin C. Aguirre. “Here are the stories of the city, of our experiences which—although we already know them—still need to be deconstructed again and again and rebuilt in order to name the noble as well as the ignoble image of the city. In the name of the city, here we are in our experiences as human being, citizen, stranger, addict, student, teacher, sister, brother, acquaintance, refugee, exile, OFW. . . . We who define the city are in turn defined by it. Here are the stories, the map of our life in the city.”—From the Introduction.
