I Walked with Heroes by Carlos P. Romulo
Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
Carlos P. Romulo's autobiography traces his life from a boyhood in Camiling, Tarlac, where American soldiers taught him to read English during the Philippine-American War, through his rise as a teenage reporter, university president, general and aide to Douglas MacArthur, diplomat, and president of the UN General Assembly. Romulo writes with self-deprecating humor, notably about his short stature, while recounting his encounters with figures like Quezon, MacArthur, Roosevelt, and Churchill against the backdrop of the Philippines' path from colonial rule to independence. Holt, Rinehart and Winston published the book in 1961.
