Sa aklat na ito kinikilala ni Dr. Leonardo D. de Castro ang pagdadalumat na binabansagang "Etikang Pilipino." Mga instrumentong pampilosopiya ang kanyang ipinanghihimay sa mga tekstong kanyang natagpuan, at dalawa ang nakita niyang dinadaluyan ng mga kaisipan at konseptong kinakasangkapan sa pang-etikang pagdadalumat ng mga Pilipino. Malinaw rin sa aklat na ito na malamang humantong ang ganitong paghahambing sa isang maayos na balangkas na makatotohanang matatawag na "Etikang Pilipino" na makabuluhan para sa lahat ng Pilipino sa lahat ng dako ng ating bayan.
