Eloquent Simplicity in Wood and Fiber
In stock
The exhibition Eloquent Simplicity is another expression of the Yunchengco Museum's direction of linking our living culture to current trends. The museum's Art as Design, Design as Art program is founded on the ethos of "culture as central to development." Traditions renewed. The present rooted in the past. The excellence of craftsmanship fused with the artistry of symmetry in this exhibition in two parts.First, the material....Wood is carved with intricacy, smothened to sensuality, polished to enhance its luster, solid in the space around which it states its presence. fiber is carefully woven and plaited for durability and strength, for thinness and portability, trimmed and shaped, and them embellished with motifs.
