Apo Ferdi and Inday Meldy: The Philippines' First Couple

Published by grateful members of the Philippine press, art scene and the Manila Intelligentsia. Before the shadow of Martial Law, the Former First Couple were the darlings of the local and international media, a sort of embodiment of "Camelot" in Asia. The work is filled with peppy and optimistic cartoons, caricatures and portraiture by the nation's then cream of the crop. 20 years later the drawings would be more subdued and ominous.
