Binabalikan ng kasalukuyang pag-aaral ang katangian ng pag-uulit sa katutubong panitikan nang ginagamit na primaryang teksto ang nanang ni Taguwasi, suguidanon ni Humadapnon, at hlolok ni Tud Bulul. Nagiging batayan ang galaw ng pag-uulit upang makapaglarawan ng poetika ng pag-uulit na magagamit sa pagkaunawa ng proseso ng malikhaing produksiyon sa katutubong panitikan.
Naghahain dito ng isang paraan kung paano kaya maaaring mabalikan ang mga pag-aaral sa estetika nang hindi ulit nagpapakulong sa mga dualismo ng anyo/nilalaman at sining/propaganda na matagal nang kinahiratihan ng mga metodo ng panunuring pampanitikan sa bansa. Isinasakatuparan ang ganitong proyekto sa pamamagitan ng pag-uugnay ng poetika ng pag-uulit sa mga kategorya ng galaw (movement) at kasidhian (intensity), na naglalarawan ng mga pagpapadaloy ng proseso sa halip na pagbubuo ng mga estruktura ng pagsusuri.
Sa pagtingin sa katutubo at moderno, pabigkas at pasulat bilang magkatuluyan, ipinapanukalang dalhin ang poetika ng pag-uulit sa pagpapahalaga din sa mga modernong anyong pampanitikan tulad ng maikling kuwento at nobela. Sa huli, matatagpuan dito ang isang proyekto ng dekolonisasyon na nagsisikap mabigyan ng higit na pangunahing papel ang katutubong panitikan, partikular ang anyong epiko, sa paghubog ng pambansang panitikan at pagtasa ng mga kontemporanyong malikhaing produksiyon.
