Gloria, a De La Salle College teacher and prewar Philippine Army reserve officer called to active duty in September 1941, recounts his path from training camp through the fall of Bataan, the Death March, and imprisonment at Camp O'Donnell. His memoir tracks the day-to-day experience of a Filipino officer under siege, from the food shortages and skirmishes at Aglaloma and Anyasan Points to the mass deaths that followed at the camp. Gloria self-published the account in Quezon City in 1978.
