Accidents Of Composition … there could be accidents of kindness here
In stock
Merlinda Bobis’s Accidents of Composition weaves Philippine and Australian landscapes, colonial memory, and migration across 76 poems that draw on Pigafetta’s journals, oral storytelling, and Bikolano imagery to explore identity, ecological loss, and the poetics of care. The title captures the poet’s own conception of each poem as an unexpected creation — emerging from stories heard, dreamt, read, or remembered — in a collection that hopes for a world where “there could be accidents of kindness here.”
