Lapham's Raiders: Guerrillas in the Philippines, 1942-1945 by Robert Lapham and Bernard Norling
Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
Robert Lapham was a young U.S. Army reserve lieutenant who slipped out of Bataan in January 1942 rather than surrender and went on to build a guerrilla force on the Central Luzon plain. Lapham's Raiders: Guerrillas in the Philippines, 1942-1945 (University Press of Kentucky, 1996), written with historian Bernard Norling, is his account of that war, including the guerrilla support behind the January 1945 raid on the Cabanatuan prison camp. It also weighs what the war cost Filipinos and how the United States treated the guerrillas afterward.
