GERRY ALANGUILLAN (1968-2019) was an award-winning creator of ELMER and RODSKI PATOTSKI ANG DALAGANG BABY (with Arnold Arre). He also wrote Where Bold Stars Go To Die (with Arlan Esmeña) and created other titles like Wasted, Timawa, Johnny Balbona, and Humanis Rex. He was an inker for Marvel Comics with penciler Leinil Francis Yu.
ELMER is a window into an alternate Earth where chickens have suddenly acquired the intelligence and consciousness of humans, where they consider themselves a race no different from others. Recognizing themselves to be sentient, the inexplicably evolved chickens push to attain rights for themselves as the newest members of the human race.
ELMER tells the story of a family of chickens who live and struggle to survive in a suddenly complicated, dangerous, and yet beautiful world.
